Definitions
We consider that Modern Slavery encompasses:
- Servitude, or human trafficking;
- Being owned or controlled by an employer through mental or physical abuse of the threat of abuse;
- Being dehumanized, treated as a commodity or being bought or sold as property;
- Being physically constrained or to have restriction placed on freedom of movement;
- Involves forced labor, bonded labor, debt bondage, human trafficking, and child labor; and
- Involves coercion, deception, abuse of power, and vulnerability, depriving individuals of their freedom and basic human rights.
Our Commitment
We recognize our obligations to address modern slavery and pledge to adhere to the requirements outlined in the UK Modern Slavery Act, 2015. This commitment entails continuously evaluating both our internal workforce practices and our supply chains.
We do not engage in business partnerships with any organizations, domestically or internationally, that knowingly condone or participate in slavery, servitude, or forced labor.
Furthermore, we ensure that no labor is involved in providing our services is obtained through slavery or human trafficking. Our practices strictly adhere to the minimum standards mandated by the Act under relevant employment legislation in the United Kingdom and we seek to enhance these through our internal policies and procedures.
Supply Chains
At our organization, our commitment extends beyond mere transactions to encompass the fundamental values of dignity and respect for all individuals within our business ecosystem. With a diverse array of suppliers providing various commodities, our supply chains predominantly pertain to IT consulting and staff augmentation services across our global affiliate companies.

Policies & Procedures
We adhere to a set of policies and procedures that articulate our position on modern slavery:
- Evoke Technologies’ internal policies (Code of Conduct, Business Ethics, Human Rights Policy, Whistle-blower Policy, Anti-Sexual-Harassment Policy) and practices focus on anti-slavery and anti-human trafficking and are part of a larger effort to ensure transparency, accountability and safeguarding of Human Rights extended to its supply chain.
- Our Code of Conduct forms the cornerstone of our Compliance and Integrity Programme, embodying our core values, shared responsibilities, global commitments, and promises. It underscores our dedication to ethical business practices, with our values serving as its ethical foundation.
- Our Whistle-blower Policy offers stakeholders a secure avenue to voice concerns without fear of reprisal, ensuring a transparent and accountable environment.
- Evoke Technologies’ expects all those who work with and for it including without limitation, its personnel, supply chain and contractors, to read and comply with its policy.
Potential Exposure
While we recognize that our position within the IT supply chain may mitigate our direct exposure to instances of slavery and human trafficking, we remain vigilant and proactive in safeguarding against such abhorrent practices. We have established stringent guidelines to prevent the occurrence of these activities within our own business operations, as well as within the operations of any organization that supplies goods and/or services to us.
Our commitment to ethical conduct is further reinforced by our Whistleblower Policy, which encourages staff to report any violations or activities that deviate from our established policies and procedures.
By fostering a culture of accountability and transparency, we strive to ensure that our business practices uphold the highest ethical standards and contribute to the prevention of slavery and human trafficking in all its forms.
Steps
We rigorously perform due diligence procedures to prevent slavery and human trafficking within our organization and supply chains. To the best of our knowledge, we have not engaged in any business with organizations found to be associated with modern slavery.
In compliance with section 54(4) of the UK Modern Slavery Act, 2015, we have undertaken the following measures to verify that modern slavery is not occurring:
- Incorporating regulatory provisions and guidelines into our internal policies.
- Regularly reviewing and updating our policies and code of conduct.
- Conducting internal audits of our processes and thorough human resource due diligence to detect and mitigate risks related to slavery and human trafficking.
- Performing audits and due diligence on our suppliers to prevent instances of slavery and human trafficking.
- Undertaking periodic reviews and assessments by senior management to uphold a zero-tolerance stance against slavery and human trafficking.
- Providing training sessions and workshops to employees to enhance awareness of modern slavery and human trafficking issues.
- Ensuring that our suppliers adhere to our organizational values and ethical standards.
Training
We ensure our people are trained on our business standards and culture, so that policies and procedures are appropriately implemented. In particular, our people receive training on a variety of human rights related issues, including but not limited to, equal employment opportunity, diversity and inclusion, money laundering, economic sanctions, bribery and corruption. They are reminded and encouraged to identify potential violations in these areas, and to report behavior that does not comply with internal policies and procedures and external regulations and laws.
Key Performance Indicators
We have established the following key performance indicators (KPIs) to gauge our efficacy in preventing modern slavery within our organization and across our supply chains:
- External audits completion by accredited providers.
- Utilization of labour monitoring and payroll systems.
- Frequency and quality of communication with the subsequent link in the supply chain, ensuring their comprehension and adherence to our expectations.
- Mandatory signing of the Supplier Code of Conduct during supplier onboarding.
- Inclusion of stipulations in contracts requiring suppliers to comply with local laws and our anti-slavery and human trafficking policies.
- Establishment of enduring relationships with local suppliers, accompanied by clear articulation of our business conduct expectations.
- Commitment to ensuring slavery and human trafficking are absent from our supply chain partners’ operations, with a zero-tolerance approach towards such activities within Evoke and its supply chain.
Slavery Compliance Officer
At Evoke Technologies, we have appointed a Slavery Compliance Officer who is responsible for addressing all concerns related to Modern Slavery. Any issues brought forth will be promptly investigated, and appropriate actions will be taken to fulfill our obligations.
This statement is issued in accordance with Section 54(1) of the UK Modern Slavery Act, 2015 and will undergo review annually to ensure compliance.
